Lela Mae Weaver, 77, of Beggs, OK passed away at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. 

She was born October 24, 1925 in Waynesville, MO to Jim J. Adkinson and ?. She later married 

Bill (Chief) Weaver; he preceded her in death in 1989.



Others that preceded Mrs. Weaver in death are her parents, two brothers Ralph Adkinson, 

Joe Adkinson and a sister Lillian Finley.



Survivors include a son Bill Weaver of Beggs, a daughter Judy Shanks of New Mexico, 

five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and several great –grandchildren.



Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at the McClendon-Winters F

uneral Home Chapel in Beggs with Pastor Lisa Sowers officiating. Interment will follow at the 

Beggs Cemetery in Beggs under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs.



Visitation will be Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at the Funeral Home from 12:00 noon till 4:30 pm.



Casketbearers will be Bill Shanks, Tommy Young, Eddie Young, Ned Hodge, Jeff Fults and Joshua Brown.
