All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Okmulgee Cemetery--Okmulgee OK Loyal Donald Wells, 86, a resident of Okmulgee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2006. He was born Tuesday, January 6, 1920 to Edgar and Ruth (Legget) Wells in Sterling, Oklahoma. He retired from American Airlines and was a veteran of WWII, serving with the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Loyal is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Wells; daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Larry Bishop of Jenks; a grandson and wife; Jason and Becky Bishop of Broken Arrow; a granddaughter: Becky Penn of Tulsa; and three great grandchildren. A celebration of Loyal’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend Raymond Doke officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Kelley Chapel.
