He was born Sunday, January 15, 1950 to Lloyd and Alma (Riggs) Whiteley in San Jose, California. Mr. Whiteley attended the Johnson’s Church in Okmulgee, at which he loved going and singing specials. In high school, he sang with the Harmoners and he loved being a great uncle to his great nephew, Kameron Blake. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Whiteley in 1994 and his brother: Jim Whiteley on February 16, 2005. Survivors include: mother: Alma Whiteley of Okmulgee; two brothers: Fred Whiteley of Lawn Dale, CA and Steve Whiteley and wife, Pat of Broken Arrow; two nephews: Chris Whiteley of Florida and Matt Whiteley of California; one niece: Kristy Whiteley of Tulsa and uncle: Thurman Whiteley of Port Orchard, WA. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005 at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee with George LeGrand officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Steve Whiteley, Fred Whiteley, James Frederick, Keith Hayes, Jim Keith and Chris Whiteley. Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee.
