All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Dallas-Ft Worth National Cemetery--Dallas TX Williamson, Carl Eugene Carl Eugene Williamson, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at a care facility in Arlington. Memorial service: A private memorial service will be held in the National Cemetery in Dallas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Cal Farley Boys Ranch in Amarillo. Born in Okmulgee, Okla., Mr. Williamson enlisted in the Army Air Forces during World War II, honorably completed his service and went on to a 39-year career with United Airlines. Mr. Williamson began as a mechanic, then became a flight engineer and worked his way up to co-pilot. He finished his career as an aircraft captain. In retirement Mr. Williamson exploited his hobbies. He excelled as a "Grand Pa" and was the "go-to" guy when something needed fixing. Survivors: His wife, Faye, of 57 years; his son, Wayne and his wife, Sue; his daughter, Carla and her husband, Tim; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
