Carolyn Yvonne Young, 47, a resident of Twin Hills, 

died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at her home. She was 

born Wednesday, October 23, 1957 to Nelson and LaVera 

(Miller) Tharp in Muskogee, Oklahoma. On September 23, 

1982, she married Loyd Young in Miami, Oklahoma. 

	

She was preceded in death by her mother, LaVera Tharp. 

	

Survivors include: husband: Loyd Young of the home; father: 

Nelson Tharp of Plumerville, Arkansas; two daughters: Misty 

Parker of Bixby and Shanda Foster and husband, Shane of 

Twin Hills; one son: Jackie Parker and wife, Philicia of 

Twin Hills; two sisters: Brenda Cooksey and Vera Miller both 

of Twin Hills; two brothers: Nelson Terry of Okmulgee and 

David Tharp of Plumerville, Arkansas; grandmother: 

Mable Williams of Haskel and seven grandchildren.  

	

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2005 

at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee with Brother Lloyd Morris 

officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Morris 

Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral 

Home of Okmulgee. 

	

Pallbearers will be Dillan Parker, Larry Six, James Ford, 

Craig Rusco, Nelson Terry and Marshall Laska. 

	

Honorary Pallbearer will be David Snelson.
