Ena Ackerman

Ena Ackerman, 100, of Amarillo, died Sunday, April 19, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Dr. 
Howard Batson of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by 
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Mrs. Ackerman was born in Oklahoma. She moved to Amarillo in 1900 in a 
covered wagon.

She was a secretary at an insurance company. She was a charter member of 
First Baptist Church and a former member of the High Plains Baptist 
Auxiliary.

Her husband, Charles Crawford Ackerman, died in 1969.

Survivors include a nephew, Harold Vaughn of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two 
nieces, Marie Vaughn of Amarillo and Juanita Garrett of San Antonio.
