D.L. Brooks

D.L. "Pete" Brooks, 96, of Amarillo, died Thursday, May 13, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral 
Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Bob 
Schroeder of Paramount Terrace Christian Church officiating. Burial will 
be in Llano Cemetery.

Mr. Brooks was born in Oklahoma. He attended Texas Tech and the University 
of Texas. He married Evon G. Griffith in 1936 in Amarillo. She preceded 
him in death in 1998.

He was a self-employed public accountant for 70 years. He was a member of 
Paramount Terrace Christian Church for 21 years.

Survivors include a sister, Maureen Ribble of Portales, N.M.; and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life 
Enrichment Center or Meals on Wheels.

The family will be at 3817 Ozark Trail.
