All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Chimes Memorial Park Cemetery--Union City CA Cooper, Louise Jessie Louise Jessie Cooper Former resident of San Leandro Louise Jessie Cooper passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 100 on Wednesday, June 7. She enjoyed traveling, and had many hobbies, including knitting, ceramics, and playing bingo. She had a long and happy life, and was honored by family and friends with a festive 100th birthday celebration last December. Born December 12, 1905 in Oklahoma, to parents Alta Mae and Harold Hart Stackhouse, her parents moved to San Leandro, CA when she was still a child. She met and married her husband Earl Cooper in 1926, and they were happily married for 61 years. They owned two successful businesses - Homekraft Bakery in San Leandro and Driftwood Marina in Antioch. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, San Leandro Chapter, and was active in the community. She has been a widow since 1987, and was living in Grass Valley prior to her death. Her son, Robert, sister, Mildred, and two brothers, Harold and William, all preceded her in death. Another sister, Dorothy Mae, is still living. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jean; grandchildren, Christine, Robert Jr. and Terri; and great-grandchildren, Erica and Mariah. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
