Collom, Herbert L.

Herbert L. Collom June 29, 1920 - July 11, 2006 Memorial service will 
be on Saturday, July 15th, 10:00 a.m., at Word of Life Church, 5300 
Stine Road, for Herbert L. Collom. Herb is survived by his son, Larry 
Collom and wife, Betty; grandsons, Tim Collom, Mike Collom, Charles 
Collom; granddaughter, Terri Sparks. He is also survived by great-
grandchildren, Lori Collom, Saron Collom, Katrina Collom, Christina 
Sparks, Ashley Collom, Nicole Collom, Erika Collom, and Brooke 
Collom. Herbert is preceded in death by his wife 65 years, Geneva 
Collom; two brothers, James and Lindsay; and sister, Mary. Herb was 
born on June 29, 1920, in Oklahoma and passed away on July 11, 2006. 
He lived in Bakersfield for sixty-five years. Herb was a WWII Veteran 
and worked in the Oilfields in Kern County until his retirement. In 
lieu of flowers, please make donations to Optimal Hospice, 4800 
Stockdale Hwy., Bakersfield, CA 93309. No visitation is scheduled.
