Faye Evans Craft was taken into the arms of the Lord on Sept. 27, 2006 in Palm Springs, Her faith was an integral part of her life. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church Faye was born Dec. 24, 1910 in Oklahoma, the sixth of seven children of migrant farm workers. During the course of her life, she married John E. Evans. Four children were born to this union. Later she married John Craft. Left to honor her memory are her children, Catherine Durr, Mary Faith Knapp, Robert Evans and John Evans. Her legacy of life also included sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. Faye was a self-made, self educated woman who journeyed far from very meager beginnings. She was a woman of strong opinions, a hard worker, and a perfectionist who expected no less from those around her. As were her wishes, Faye was cremated. A celebration of life will be held at Windsor Court Assisted Living Facility. Private family services will follow at a later date with inurnment at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
