Barbara Belle Detrixhe

HIGGINS - Barbara Belle Detrixhe, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, in 
Shattuck, Okla.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Higgins 
with the Rev. Clifford Baze and the Rev. Harold Hook officiating. Burial 
will be in the Higgins Cemetery by Mason Funeral Home of Shattuck.

Mrs. Detrixhe was born in a dugout near Packsaddle, Okla., and went to 
school in Bishop community. For 57 years, she lived south of Higgins where 
she farmed and ranched with her husband. She moved into Higgins 12 years 
ago.

She married Benjamin Francis Detrixhe in 1926 at Canadian. She was 
preceded in death by her husband in 1984 and by a daughter, Barbara 
Louise.

Survivors include four children, Ben Detrixhe of Butler, Okla., Frances 
Kelln of Littleton, Colo., Jack Detrixhe of Higgins and Sylvia Pressler of 
Morrison, Colo.; three sisters, Zelma Ramsey of Lancaster, Calif., Ruth 
Fleming of Reedley, Calif., and Alice Mercer of Williams, Ariz.; eight 
grandchildren; and 19 greatgrandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Higgins.
