All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Delvin, Mitchell Mitchell Delvin Underwood Resident of Walnut Creek Born July 5, 1927, and peacefully passed from this earth Sept. 7, 2006. Mitch, as he was known by most, is survived by his wife, Claire; and children, Denise and Steven; daughter-in-law, Susan; and step-grandchildren, Danielle and Michelle, and Danielle's children, Courtney and John. Mitch's only sibling and older sister, Jeanne, passed away the year before, leaving her three daughters, Chris, Patsie and Nina, and son, Mark. Mitch was born in Oklahoma, soon moving to Illinois where he grew up. Entering the Navy at a very early age, he soon jumped at the chance to transfer over to the Marines, where he saw action in World War II, and then again in Korea. His total time active and reserves around 16 years. After returning from Korea, Mitch went to work for PG&E and stayed with them for around 11 years. After leaving PG&E, Mitch spent a few years in business for himself, and then found employment with Pacific Pipe Co. where he retired after 31 years. No formal services will be held at the request of his family. We will all miss him and wish him a safe and comfortable journey to heaven, love Mom, Denise, Susan and Steven. Susan and I wish you a nice visit at the rainbow bridge. (I love you, dad.)
