She is survived by her son Chuck Williams; stepson, Chuck Draney; stepdaughter, Diane Jones, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Mary Edna was born, November 5, 1910 in Oklahoma. She received her bachelors degree from Texas Tech University. After marrying Floyd Williams, they moved to California and settled in Long Beach where she was involved in numerous organizations. They moved to Hillsborough after Floyd's promotion to vice president of Folgers Coffee. After Floyd Williams passed away, Mary Edna married Charles Draney, a senior executive at the Bechtel Corporation in October 1970. As an active member of the Hillsborough Community, Mary Edna was past president of the San Mateo Auxiliary of the Children's Home Society, the Burlingame University Club, the Crippled Children's Auxiliary, and the Garden Crafters. Mary Edna was a member of the Coast Counties Board of the Children's Home Society, the Mills Hospital Auxiliary, the Easter Seal Board, the Upper Peninsula League of the San Francisco Symphony, and the Burlingame County Club. When visiting their home in Rancho Mirage, Mary Edna was a member of the Muses 100 Patrons Circle, the Committee of 100 for the Bob Hope Classic, the La Quinta Arts Foundation, the World Affairs Council of the Desert, the Palm Springs Friends of the Philharmonic, the Eisenhower Medical Auxiliary, and the Pathfinders of the Desert. Mary Edna touched the lives of many and was admired by all who new her. She will be greatly missed.
