"Bud" Evans, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Robert P. Kelly, minister of White Deer United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. Mr. Evans was born in Indian Territory, Okla., and had lived in White Deer since 1929. He married Golda Gibson in 1936 in Hereford. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a driller, truck driver and tool dresser in the oil fields for many years. He retired from W.E. Wagoner Well Service of Pampa in 1968. Mr. Evans was a Methodist and a member of the White Deer Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Hope D. LaShier and Inez Evans, both of Amarillo, and Hazel Parker of Hugo, Colo.; and two nephews. Memorials may be made to the White Deer Volunteer Fire Department, White Deer Senior Citizens Association, or a favorite charity.
