Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Higgins Cemetery at Higgins with Shawn Davis, intern minister at the Canadian Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors. Mrs. Eggleston was born in Indian Territory. She graduated from Higgins High School and attended Draughon's Business College. She married Harvey Martin Eggleston in 1933 at Woodward, Okla. He died in 1969. She and her husband moved to Higgins in 1960. They farmed and ranched south of Higgins at Littlerobe. They also ran the Texaco Service Station in Higgins. She moved to Canadian from Higgins in 1995. Survivors include a son, Harvey Eggleston Jr. of Lubbock; a daughter, Sue Schafer of Canadian; a brother, Ray Northrup of Canadian; a sister, Lois Powledge of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. 4th, Canadian, Texas 79014; or Hemphill County Hospital, 1020 S. 4th, Canadian, Texas 79014.
