Ray Goodman PLAINS - The Rev. Ray Goodman, 73, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Assembly of God Church in Muleshoe with the Rev. Kevin Bruton, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Plains, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. The Rev. Goodman was born in Oklahoma and was a 1943 graduate of Muleshoe High School. During World War II, he served in the Marine Corps. He attended Texas Tech University and Southwestern Assemblies of God College. The Rev. Goodman was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God. He served churches in North and West Texas districts, Arizona and Colorado. He married Naomi Gregory in 1958 at Dallas. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Calvin Ray Goodman of Levelland, David Gregory Goodman of Sherman and Gerald Douglas Goodman of San Angelo; a daughter, Violet Rene Shelton of Denton; two sisters, Johnnie Mae Kellison of Lockney and Almola Maynard of Georgetown; a brother, Henry Calvin Goodman of Aztec, N.M.; and five grandchildren.
