All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Noal Raymond Gunnels Noal Raymond Gunnels, 80, of Amarillo died Monday, June 10, 2002. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Danny Lucas, pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Gunnels was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Oklahoma. He grew up on farms in Oklahoma and New Mexico. He married Thelma Wall on Jan. 9, 1944, in Clovis, N.M. In 1950, he and his family moved to Amarillo where he first worked at Northwest Texas Hospital as an orderly for several years. He was a city bus driver for six years before starting Gunnels TV Repair and Service, which he owned and operated until 1984. He had served as an ordained deacon at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Bykota Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry and wife, Sharon, of Duncanville; two sisters, Claudine Frazier of Roswell, N.M., and Earlene Jones of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, Clyde Gunnels of Clovis; and a grandchild, Parrish Todd of Irving. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
