All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Gibson, Nola Beatrice "Bea" Nola Beatrice Gibson "Bea" Nov. 25, 1922 - Dec. 15, 2006 Bea went home to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Bill, on December 15, 2006. Bea and Bill had two children, Judith Ann Caudell and John Douglas Gibson. She passed away in Bakersfield surrounded by her family and friends. She was a happy person and a joy to be around. She was the family photographer documenting events. She was very family and friend oriented, we called Bea and Bill the family representatives. Bea was born in Oklahoma and migrated to Taft with her parents, John and Mary Cameron and sister, Bernice, when Bea was 6 months old. Her father found work with Standard Oil Company. Bea went through the Taft School system and was a member of the class of 1940. She graduated from Woodbury College in Southern California. One of her first jobs was at Gardner Field where she met Bill, they met November 18th and were married on December 21st, 1942. Bea and Bill celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary December 21, 2005. Bill passed away on January 6th, 2006. Bea and Bill worked for Standard Oil Company (Chevron) until their retirement Bea was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church and sang in the choir for 50 years. She was also a community activist always working for the good of the West Side. Bea will be sorely missed. Bea was predeceased by her husband, William M. Gibson (Bill), her parents, John and Mary Cameron, a brother, Doyle Cameron, and an uncle Leo Dolgov. She is survived by her sisters, Bernice Robinson and Mary Sims, and her sister-in-law, Lola Mae Pardue; her children, Judith Caudell and her husband John; John Gibson and his wife Kathy; her grandchildren, Julie and Russell Currie, Jay Caudell and Cameron and Erika Gibson; her nieces, Mary Nishiyama and husband Ken and Susan Foster and husband Mike; and many great nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2006, from 3-8 p.m., at Erickson and Brown Funeral Home, 501 Lucard St., Taft, California. The funeral will be at the First Baptist Church, 220 North St., Taft, CA at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19th, 2006.
