Born in Oklahoma, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 35 years, formerly residing in San Mateo. Retired, he owned and operated of AC Auto Dismantling in Yuba City. He was a former member of the Yuba City Moose Lodge and raced stock cars in the Bay Area. Also, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Mapel of Yuba City; a son, Howard C. Green of Sequim, Wash.; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Green. Services: Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Holycross Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter. Pastor Jody Shorkey of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln will officiate.
