Hubbard, 93, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Fellowship Church with the Rev. Mike Linney, her great-nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hubbard, our beloved mother and "Grannie," went home to be with the Lord at age 93 on Wednesday in Panhandle. Nannie was born in Foxburg, Pa., and came to Oklahoma as a girl with her family. She came to Panhandle as the bride of Floyd T. Hubbard in 1926, and they lived there all of their lives with the exception of four years in Albuquerque and seven years in Lincoln, Ark. Always active in her church, The First Assembly of God, her life's passion was teaching God's word and serving others. For a time she owned and operated Hubbard Apartments and in later life, she enjoyed Golden Ages and 55 Plus organizations. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Marion Hubbard in 1941; and her husband, Floyd, in 1979. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lea Wersonick of Seguin and Darlene Sparks of Wichita Falls; a son, Donald S. Hubbard of Cedar Crest, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Marsha Cavin, Kathy Pratt, Dr. Michael Eklund, Donna Eklund Stone, John Eklund, Kent Hubbard and Kathy Knight; 16 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Garretson Retirement Center, where she was a resident for 11 years, Box 1239, Panhandle, TX 79068; or St. Ann's Nursing Home, P.O. Box 1179, Panhandle, TX 79068. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
