All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 20 Jan 2005 Mildred Blanche (Mahan) Hodge, 85 Services for Mildred Blanche (Mahan) Hodge, 85, Calera, who died Sunday, January 16, 2005, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, will be Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the Brown's Funeral Chapel. Revs. Michael Yancey and Jacob Toews are officiating. Mildred was born January 26, 1919, in Mulberry, Oklahoma, to Oliver Mahan and Maggie Dora (Willis) Mahan. She lived in Oklahoma all her life and attended school in Mulberry and in Colbert. Mildred married Earl Hodge on September 21, 1940, in Platter, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Victory Club. Mildred enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers. She was of the Baptist faith. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Maggie Mahan; her husband, Earl Hodge; brother Chester Mahan; and sisters Thelma Smith and Cassie Morrison. Survivors include daughter Phyllis Ulman and her husband Jim of Yukon; son Larry Hodge and wife Sondra of Calera; son Ronnie Hodge of El Reno; grandchildren Tammy Brown and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, Brad Hodge and wife LeeAnn of Kingston, Cory Baze and wife Mindy of Oklahoma City, Tonya Franklin and husband Clint of Edmond, and Tosha Buck and husband Brandon of Calera; great- grandchildren Morgan Hodge, Taylor Hodge, Blake Franklin, Blaine Franklin, Cameron Brown, Jack Baze, Ellie Baze and Breanna Buck; many other relatives and a host of dear friends. Interment will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Colbert with Mike Brown, Brad Hodge, Cory Baze, Clint Franklin and Brandon Buck serving as pall bearers. Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Reeves, Hoss Reeves, Carl Thompson, Gary Weger and W.B. Williamson. Family hour will be today from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to the family at brownsfs@sbcglobal.net.
