Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery. Mrs. Harris was a wonderful Christian mother and grandmother who spent her entire adult life taking care of others. She was a precious, quiet, sweet, gentle, patient, caring lady who always put others first. She was a role model to all who knew her. To know her was to love her. We are all better persons for having known her. We are all better persons for having known her. We will miss her sorely. The void in our lives can only be filled with precious memories that will live in our hearts forever. Flora was born to Ellie Lenora Phillips Nunley and Samuel Marion Nunley on Aug. 17, 1907, in Birds Mill Spring, Oklahoma Territory. "Skeet" grew up on a farm in the Marlow area, graduating from Central High School. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and Central State College in Edmond where she earned a teaching degree and a nursing degree. April 26, 1932, she married Dewey James Harris. They were married 58 years and raised seven children. Living in the Waurika and Duncan area until 1952, they moved to Hobart and lived there until Mr. Harris’ death in 1990. She worked many years at Elkview General Hospital. Mrs. Harris is survived by sons Jim and his wife, Phyllis, of Weatherford, Texas, Neil and his wife, Trudy, of Tulsa, David and his wife, Iris, of Yukon, Joe and his wife, Patricia, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Don and his wife, Deanna, of Joshua, Texas, John and his wife, Sharon, of DeRidder, La.; a daughter, Donna White and her husband, Gary, of Midwest City; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Loftus Nunley and his wife, Lois, of Denison, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Lera Nunley of Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey; her grandson, Noel Harris; five brothers and two sisters.
