All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery--Bakersfield CA Hollon, Rudolph "Gene" (Memoriam) In Loving Memory of Rudolph "Gene" Hollon 1930 - 2007 Gene was born in Hutchison, Kansas but soon moved to Oklahoma. He and his family moved to California after the start of WWII. He graduated from Gardena High School in the class of '49. He joined the Navy and saw action during the Korean Conflict. He then began a career at the Naval Shipyards and Base in Long Beach, CA. He retired in 1986 and moved to Bakersfield. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia; two sons, Stephen and Michael; daughter-in-law, Khristina; six grandchildren, Erin Kimmet and husband, Michael, Jamie Hoskins and husband, Kevin, Jeffrey, Caitlin, Allison and Mikayla; one great- grandchild, Bradley Hoskins; two sisters, Betty VanVleck and husband, Richard, and Eunice Norden and husband, Donald; nephew, Daryl Blankenship; niece, Linda Taylor and husband, Gerald; and great- niece, Amanda Taylor. Graveside services were held at Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Steve Truitt officiating, directed by Mission Family Mortuary.
