"Jonsey" June 26, 1921 - March 7, 2007 Lora M. "Jonsey" Jones, 85, of Benicia, passed away in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Oklahoma and had lived in Benicia since 1942. She worked as a driver/chauffer at the Benicia Arsenal for more than 17 years during World War II. She also worked for close to 30 years as a waitress at several restaurants including Nuberry's in downtown Vallejo, The Grotto and later at the Vallejo Elks Lodge. Lora is survived by her daughters, Nancy Earp of Benicia and Brenda K. (Allen) Sammons of Vacaville; sister, Opal Monn of Minnesota; son, Gerald L. "G.L." Jones of Benicia; six grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, Benicia. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary with Pastor Solomon Jones of Benicia Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Skyview Memorial Lawn.
