All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Keele, Sammie Sammie Keele Aug. 21, 1918 - Mar. 27, 2006 Sammie Keele passed away peacefully at his home in Antioch, Monday, March 27, 2006, at age 87. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie Keele; daughters, Sharon Brown, Janet Keele and Joy Collins; two grandchildren, Scott Brown and Lori Murphy; and six great- grandchildren. Sammie was born and raised in Oklahoma. In 1940 he married and moved to Port Chicago, CA. In 1973 he and his family moved to Antioch, where he resided for 33 years. Sammie was a devout Christian who touched many lives with his caring and generosity. He felt deeply for others and always wanted to help anyone in need. Sammie was also very proud to be a Military Veteran who served in WWII. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, history and watching sports. Although Sammie will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends, we are comforted in the knowledge that he is in Heaven with the Lord. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Friday, March 31, at 9:30am at Higgins Funeral Home, 1310 A St., Antioch. A reception will follow at the Keele residence, 313 Boulder Dr., Antioch. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
