All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== :: Tucson Citizen, Tucson AZ Maurice Kirk Born January 31, 1921 passed away on May 8, 2004 at Villa Maria Care Center. Preceded in death by his only child, James Maurice Kirk. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Kirk and his grandchildren, Ed Kirk, Julie Kirk, Sally Kirk and great-grandchildren, Ellie Kirk and Elijah James Butler. Maurice was born in Oklahoma and moved to Bisbee, Arizona with his family when he was just five years old. He is a graduate of Bisbee High School where he met his wife, Bernice, of 63 years. He served in the Army in the Phillipines for two years during WWII. Following the War he began working as a meatcutter and was in that line of work for the next 30 years. He retired as the Southwestern Arizona International Representative of the American Food and Commercial Workers Union. Known for his wonderful wit and sense of humor, Maurice will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends and many golfing buddies. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. on Friday, May 14.
