He was born in Cooweescoowee, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory on July 12, 1898. In 1917, he married Maude Wilma Sykes who preceded him in death. He worked as a bronc buster, auto mechanic and in the oilfield for Gulf Oil for 31 years. He is survived by one son, Charles E. Lee and wife Vinita of Edmond, two daughters: Thelma Rollman of Warren, MI and Vermelle Armstrong and husband Eldon of Branch, Ark. Also survived by seven grandchildren: Roger Rollman and wife Cindy of Lowell, MI, Rita DeArmond and husband Dee of Fraser, MI, Marsha Hay of Las Vegas, NV, Charles A. Lee of California, Steven B. Lee of Alturas, CA, Brenda R. Bell of Citrus Heights, CA and Melanie of Fort Smith, Ark. He is survived by 15 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and one sister, Evelyn Franklin of Jackson, CA. Viewing will be at Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond on Friday. Services will be at 10am on Saturday at the Baggerley Chapel followed by interment at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond. Honorary pallbearers are his dear friends, Marie Foral, Edith Schlosser, Jill Delaney and Kathy Blasdell. Charles John Lee has touched so many lives through being a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be in our hearts forever. We love you, Papaw. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
