Willie "Babe" Beatrice Holland Lacy-Harwood

GEORGETOWN - Willie "Babe" Beatrice Holland Lacy-Harwood, 96, died Friday, 
March 5, 2004.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2004, in 
Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey with the Rev. Stewart Smith officiating. 
Arrangements were by The Gabriels Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Harwood was born April 23, 1907, in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, to 
William Luther and Abba Rachel Holland. She married Johnny Hoy Lacy on 
Jan. 15, 1926, in Turkey. After his death, she married Frank H. Harwood on 
Oct. 26, 1972, in Canyon.

She was the owner of a grocery store in Turkey for 30 years. She belonged 
to Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; seven brothers and sisters; 
three children; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Lacy and wife, Darlene, of Georgetown; a 
daughter-in-law, Joy Lacy of Amarillo; a son-in-law, Wade Berryman of 
Matador; four grandchildren, Laura Lacy of Houston, Jack Lacy of 
Georgetown, Brent Lacy of Amarillo and Jeff Berryman of Meade, Kan.; and 
five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey.
