Lewis, Edith Augustus

Edith Augustus Lewis, 100, of Meridian, passed away of natural causes 
Monday, April 9, 2007 at a local care facility. Edith was born in 
Butternut, Wis. Her family then moved to Oklahoma. They then moved to 
Texas where Edith went to school in the Rio Grande valley. After 
Edith married, her and her husband moved to Idaho. Edith had five 
children, two of which preceded her in death. She is survived by a 
son, Fred Lewis, of Boise; a daughter, Betty Lewis Russell, of 
Meridian; and a son, Vernon Ray Lewis, of Boise. She is also survived 
by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Edith was a member of 
the Pentecostal church. She was one of the last charter members of 
Hillcrest Trinity. She also loved to garden. She especially loved 
irises. Friends may call to visit with the family on Thursday, April 
12, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at Relyea Funeral Chapel. Funeral services 
will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 13 at Relyea Funeral Chapel. 
Interment will follow at the Morris Hill Cemetery.
