Leona M. Lambert

TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Leona M. Lambert, 73, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. MST/3 p.m. CDT Friday in Tucumcari 
Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Bowman, Baptist minister, 
officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lambert was born in Oklahoma and was a longtime resident of Texaco 
where she farmed with her late husband. After his death, she moved to 
Logan, then to Amarillo. She moved to Clovis recently.

She married Verl Lambert who preceded her in death in 1989.

Survivors include three daughters, Trudie Miller of Amarillo, Georgina 
Wooten of Claude, Texas, and Frankie Groomas of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, 
Neil Lambert of Clovis and Monty Lambert of Wellman, Texas; two brothers, 
Allen Powell of Dallas and Alvin Powell of Dalhart, Texas; two sisters, 
Marjorie White and Margurite White, both of Tucumcari; nine grandchildren; 
and 15 greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from this morning until service time Friday at the 
funeral home.
