Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Joseph Weaks, the Rev. Ken Cole and Jim Brown officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. McLain was born in Cassopolis, Mich., and moved to the area in 1919 from Gray, Okla. A farmer, he was a member of First Christian Church of Spearman, Masons Lodge No. 1040, Shriner and Scottish Rite. He married Ada Estelle Hamilton in 1929 at Lake Charles, La. She died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Don McLain of Spearman; three daughters, Mary Brock of Spearman and Mona May and Reva Money, both of Austin; 15 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice or the First Christian Church of Spearman.
