All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== MARTHA MCMANUS Published on November 9, 1994 The Santa Rosa Press Democratt Martha Bell McManus, a longtime homemaker who excelled at canning and other homemaking skills, died Sunday at a Ukiah convalescent hospital. She was 74. She was born in Oklahoma. She lived most of her life in Healdsburg and Annapolis in Sonoma County before moving to Ukiah in 1975. She came from a family of loggers and mill workers. Beyond homemaking, she also worked in the fields and in canneries. McManus is survived by her daughter, Bonnie McLaughlin of Ukiah; sons, Dan Weaver of Windsor, Eugene Weaver, Frank McManus and Clyde McManus, all of Ukiah; three brothers; seven sisters; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Fred Young & Co. in Healdsburg. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Oak Mound Cemetery in Healdsburg.
