All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery--Bakersfield CA Miller, Lula Mae Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., Saturday, June 24, at 9:30 a.m. for Lula Mae Miller, 93, who passed away June 21, 2006. Pastor Hector Rizo will officiate. Mrs. Miller was born in Texas on February 10, 1913, to Mary Monk and John Wright. As a young girl she traveled by covered wagon from Texas to Oklahoma with her family. She was the eldest of eight children. While in Oklahoma she met her future husband, Oscar Miller, they were married 47 years. From this union four children were born in Oklahoma. In the 1940's they moved to California where four more children were born. Mrs. Miller traveled extensively. She traveled to Italy, Egypt and Greece. She traveled the 50 United States three times. Mrs. Miller enjoyed playing bunco once a month with 12 of her friends. She liked to dance and take trips with her friends after her children were grown. Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Twylah McMurray, Kenny Miller, Bobby Miller, David Miller and Gary Miller; 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dixie Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Miller; and her children, Raymond Miller, Jimmy Miller, and Teresa Elmore. No visitation is scheduled.
