All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Robert Harry Osborne Sr. WINTER GARDEN, Fla. - Robert Harry Osborne Sr., 80, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998. Cremation arrangements were by Beacon's National Cremation Society. Services were in Antigo, Wis. Mr. Osborne was born in Plaza, Ohio, and was raised in Oklahoma and Ohio. After graduating from high school, he attended trade school for two years in Chicago. He served during World War II in India. He married Agnes Wyrwas in 1941. Mr. Osborne worked for IBM for 20 years before he and his wife purchased and operated Spence's Motel in Madison, Wis., for 17 years. They retired to Lake Mills, Wis., for a few years before moving to Florida. His wife preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Robert H. Osborne Jr. of Lake Mills; three daughters, Carol Adams of Kirksville, Mo., Jeanne Novotny of Amarillo and Karen Franks of Orlando; a sister, Helen Freeland of Corona, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, 600 W. 11th Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79174; the American Red Cross, 1800 S. Harrison St., Amarillo, Texas 71902; or a favorite charity.
