Richmond Sr. Dec. 11, 1915 — May 18, 2006 Atwell Laverne Richmond Sr., 90, of Empire died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. Mr. Richmond was a native of Oklahoma. He lived in Empire 62 years and previously lived in Oakland three years. He owned a general handyman business. He enjoyed gardening and woodwork. He is survived by his son, Atwell L. Richmond Jr. of Modesto; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson. A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
