Rains Jewel Arline Rains, 71, of Meridian died March 22, 2002, at Fremont Medical Center. Born in Oklahoma, she was a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1945. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sutter Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Lorena Vita of Yuba City; two sisters, Ellen Maxwell of Fresno and Essie Worley of Henryetta, Okla.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.G. Rains. Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday at Meridian Cemetery.
