Alexander Saied

CHILDRESS - Alexander Saied, 80, died Monday, Aug. 25, 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with the 
Rev. Ila Mayes of the church and the Rev. Dennis Boylan of Holy Angels 
Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by 
Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Saied was born in Hilton, Okla. He was a retail merchant and a 
veteran of the Navy.

He married Mary DeGaish in 1946 at Sweetwater.

Mr. Saied was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 695, the Elks Lodge and the 
Childress Country Club. He was a Shriner, a 32nd Degree Mason and a past 
president of the Childress Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Sammy Saied of Amarillo; two brothers, 
George Saied of Perryton and Louis Saied of Amarillo; a sister, Najla 
Saied of Childress; and five grandchildren.
