Stout, Viola

A chapel service will be held Friday, June 30th, at 10:00 a.m. at 
Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd. Viola was born on March 29, 
1909, in Supply, Arkansas and passed away at the age of 97 in 
Bakersfield, Ca. Viola migrated from Oklahoma to California with her 
husband Marion (MG) in 1937, settling in Kern County near Shafter. 
She and MG had three children, one son Lester E. Stout and two 
daughters, Lois Sheffield and Joyce Andreotti. She was preceded in 
death by her husband MG, her son Lester and daughter Lois. She is 
survived by her daughter Joyce Andreotti; 11 grandchildren; 21 great 
grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Viola played the 
guitar and sang in her younger years in Oklahoma and passed this 
talent on to her son, Lester who was an accomplished guitar player 
and singer. Her focus throughout her life was on her family and the 
unrelenting support of her husband, MG. In a marriage that extended 
over 70 years she and MG through dedicated and hard work, developed a 
successful farming operation just south of Shafter. She was always a 
gracious host, a tenacious domino player and when anyone visited her 
home they had to be prepared to stay long enough for her to whip up a 
marvelous meal. She will be missed and always remembered with love, 
affection and her exemplary life style by her family and friends.
