Joe Szaloy

TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Joe Szaloy, 95, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999.

Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. 
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Anne's Catholic 
Church with the Rev. John C. Daniel as celebrant. Burial will be in the 
family plot in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Szaloy was born in Oklahoma Territory and moved to Quay County in 
1906. After his marriage to Loretta Hilton in 1926 at Clovis, they farmed 
in the Grady area until moving to Tucumcari in 1995.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Arthur Joe Szaloy of Hesperia, 
Calif., Bill Szaloy of Grady and Lawrence Szaloy of Tucumcari; a daughter, 
Kathern Herber of Texline, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-
grandchildren.
