Sarkisian, beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born in Oklahoma on February 26, 1936, to Maude and Walter Davis. She grew up in Sanger, California, and then lived most of her life in Fresno. She was a homemaker, crafter, and excellent seamstress, sewing up until the last week of her life. She lived life with gusto, and always did things right away, (her way). She was a strong, brave woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Ann is preceded in death by her son, Richard Halbert; and sisters Marge and Mary. Ann is survived by Varkis, her husband of 42 years; daughters, Madison B. James, and Jean Almeda and her husband Kenneth; granddaughter, Leah Gilbert; great-granddaughter, Sunshine Murray; sisters, Diane Weber and her husband Mike, and Betty Eaton; brothers, Raymond Davis and his wife Gloria, Walter Davis and his wife Kendra, and Homer Davis and his wife Cokey; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and life long friends. Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association.
