Roy Thomason

WELLINGTON - Roy Thomason, 94, died Tuesday, May 5, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Church of Christ with Tom 
Anderson, minister of the Memphis Church of Christ, and Kevin Rhodes, 
minister, officiating. Burial will be in O.M. Cemetery by Adams Funeral 
Home.

Mr. Thomason was born in Indian Territory. He moved to the Kelly community 
of Collingsworth County in the early 1920s and to Wellington in 1960.

He was a farmer and rancher and he managed the Mill Iron Ranch for many 
years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He married Ava Jenkins in 1924 at Wellington. She died in 1983. He married 
Evelyn Tarver in 1986. She died in 1987. He also was preceded in death by 
two sons, Roy Dean Thomason, and Melvin Curtis Thomason.

Survivors include a son, Troy Gene Thomason of Wellington; a brother, D.C. 
Thomason of Wellington; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
