Dodd-Tyner February 22, 1937 April 5, 2002 Graveside services for Neva will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at the new mausoleum on Friday April 12, 2002 at 2:00 pm. Neva passed away after a very long battle with cancer at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Oklahoma to Elbert and Mayme Lynch, moving to Bakersfield when she was 5. Neva was a 1954 graduate of BHS and first married James E. Dodd in 1955, later marrying Bernard R. Tyner. She was a loyal Tosco employee for 28 years until her retirement. Neva is survived by her children; Steve Dodd of Lake Elsinore, Randy Dodd of Bakersfield, Ron Dodd of Sacramento, and Lori Raprager of Bakersfield, step-children; Bernie Tyner of Texas, Debra Scantlin of Paso Robles, Pam Murphy of Atascadero and Craig Tyner of Tehachapi, sister; Nadine Kerr, and brother; Jesse Lynch. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and lots of friends. Preceding Neva in death are her husbands, James and Rod, her parents; Elbert and Mayme L. Lynch, brother-in-law Rex Kerr and nephew Chuck Lynch.
