Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Loran Harper, pastor of Comanche Trail Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Mrs. Turpen was born in Indian Territory. She moved to Amarillo 17 years ago from Quanah. She was a homemaker and a member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ. She married R.B. Turpen in 1934 at Quanah. He died in 1990. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley D. Moore of Woodbridge, Va., Mary E. Jett of Meadowbrook, W.Va., and Barbara Alford of Amarillo; four sisters, Juanita Ray and Joyce Hyden, both of Amarillo, Margie Tolleson of Dimmitt and Helen Cokendolpher of Brownwood; a brother, Calvin Hyden of Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1711 S. Roosevelt. They request memorials be to Comanche Trail Church of Christ.
