Gerald E. Thurman
Gerald "Jake" E. Thurman, 60, of Yuba City died Sept. 18,
2001, at his residence.
Born in Lone Oak, Okla., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ola Thurman of Yuba City;
four sons, Jerry Thurman of Olivehurst, Gerald Thurman Jr. and Anthony
Thurman, both of Yuba City, and Jeff Thurman of Pleasanton; a daughter,
Theresa Prewitt of Yuba City; three sisters, Imogene Warren and Irma
Dean Jackson, both of Oklahoma, and Mary Lucke of Texas; a brother,
Wayne Thurman of Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren;
and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin James Thurman.
Services: Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m.
Friday at Holycross Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be 
conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sutter Cemetery. The Rev. Donald 
Darden of the First Baptist Church in Tierra Buena will officiate.
Note: There is a Lone Oak in Lincoln County & Sequoyah County
