Raye Whippo

ARLINGTON - Raye Whippo, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. 
Sammie Rainey of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements 
are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mrs. Whippo was born in Fort Worth and moved to Amarillo in 1935 from 
Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist 
Church.

She married Charles Edmund Whippo Sr. in 1935 at Perryton. He died in 
1993.

Survivors include a son, Charles Edmund Whippo Jr. of Arlington; a 
brother, Brax Dennison of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society.
