"Dick" Willis, 90, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Claude Church of Christ with Kent Watson officiating. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home Armstrong Chapel. Mr. Willis was born in Indian Territory, Okla. He married Opal Kerley in Wellington on Sept. 11, 1949. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1999. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Haliburton Oil and Cement for more than 20 years before retiring. He had been a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He volunteered with Senior Citizen's Association as a senior aide. He was involved with Meals on Wheels and was a member of Claude Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Terresa Collins and Brenda Whitney, both of Claude; a sister, Dessie Mae Scott of Wellington; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
