Irene Sellars Walton

Irene Sellars Walton, 88, of Bushland, died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at 
Friona. 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Bushland Baptist Church at 
Bushland with the Rev. Raymond Bowlin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be 
in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell 
St. 

Mrs. Walton was born in Oklahoma Territory. She attended Hardin-Simmons 
University and Wayland Baptist University. She was a homemaker and a 
member of Bushland Baptist Church and the Home Demonstration Club and was 
a 4-H leader. 

She married James Webb Walton in 1933 at Wildorado. He died in 1986.

Survivors include a son, Donald Walton of Mason; a daughter, Carol 
Meeks of Bushland; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Prairie Acres Nursing Home at Friona.
