All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Harold Ebb Williams MIDLAND - Harold Ebb "Jack" Williams, 92, formerly of Slaton, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Mr. Williams was born in Heck Switch, Okla., where he graduated from high school in 1924. He farmed there until 1939 when he moved to White Deer. He went to work with pipe lines. In 1971, Mr. Williams retired and moved to Amarillo in 1972 from Dumas. From 1977 until 1994, he lived in Slaton and then moved to Midland. He was a 54 year member of Scottish Rite Free Masonry, SJUSA and a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Caddie Towry in 1927. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean McLaughlin, in 1993. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Frankie M. Simmons of Midland; a son, Harold Dean Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Thelma Joplin of Clovis, N. M., and Mildred Roles of Georgetown; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. They suggest, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Cerebral Palsy Center, 802 Ventura, Midland, TX 79705; or a favorite charity.
