All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Granville Edward Warren May 22, 1930 April 20, 2001 Granville (Grant) Edward Warren was born in Oklahoma on May 22, 1930 and passed from this life on April 20, 2001. He came to California with his family in 1937 to the Kern, Tulare county area to farm. He graduated from Delano High School in 1948. He served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean War. He was proud to have served in the Medical Corp in Japan. While still in the Army, he married his wife, Evelyn in 1952. Grant was in the agricultural field most of his life. He worked in different management positions for local farming companies; Belridge, Berrenda Mesa, and Superior Farms. He retired in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bose E. and Rosa E. Warren; brothers, Luther R. and Curtis L. Warren. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; and their three children, Laurie Henry and husband Michael; sons, Gregory E. and wife Lora, Granville A. and wife Sally; grandchildren, Christian Warren Landon, Guinnevere Geye and husband Daniel, Roy Duncan and wife Leah, Clint Duncan and wife Katie, Dustin Crellin and Kevin Dempsey; great grandson, Pierce Geye; sister, Loretta Drake and husband Jim; brothers, Henry E. (Preacher), Thomas E. and wife Melody, Jerry and wife Jennifer, and numerous nieces and nephews. Grant had a love of sports cars, motorcycles, poetry and nature. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Adopt A Child O.L.P.H., 124 Columbus Street, Bakersfield, CA 93305, or to a charity of your choice. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
