Wallace Aug. 15, 1905 - March 20, 2007 Former resident of Rodeo Winnie Wallace passed away March 20th in Tualatin, OR, at the age of 101 years. She was a native of Texas and moved to Oklahoma as a child. She lived there until she and her husband, Carl, and two children moved to Rodeo in 1942, where she resided until 2006 when she went to stay with her daughter, Joyce, in Oregon. Winnie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl, who died in 1983; and her son-in-law, Douglas Jackson, who died in 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Jackson of Durham, OR; son, Carl Noel Wallace (Madeline) of Rodeo, CA; grandchildren, Carla Matter (Herb) of Tualatin, OR, Keith Jackson (Carolyn) of Fremont, CA, Geraldine Tavis and Kenneth Wallace of Rodeo, CA; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Winnie was employed at C&H Sugar Co. for 24 years in the cube-wrap station, retiring in 1967. She was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church. Winnie loved her family, her church, and the friendship of her neighbors. She loved having her family and friends around her and she enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 28th, 2-7 p.m.; and funeral services will be held Thursday, March 29th, 1:30 p.m., at the Hosselkus Chapel, 1 Rolph Park Drive, Crockett, (510) 799-1411.
